Actually you can steep banana peel in milk, half and half, and/or cream for ANY dessert. I've made a banana/dark chocolate ganache before, for a banana mousse encompassed in that ganache. But you can steep heavy cream with the banana peels and make a creme brulee, and so many other creamy desserts.
Try one of them, just heat the dairy product with the banana peel and let it sit there for a a half hour or so, and proceed with the rest of the recipe.
Good luck!!!Are there any recipes that use the peel of a banana ?
Yeah, nasty ones.
smoking it causes hallucinations apparently.
When making banana cream pie, you can put the peel in with the milk as you heat it. The peel gives a banana flavor to the cream, and it DOES NOT make it bitter!! Works really well!
