Chocolate Toffee Banana Boat

Ingredients

Bananas

Mini marshmallows

Mini chocolate chips

Toffee chips

Preparation

Do not peel the banana. Slice the banana lengthwise, cutting out a v-shaped section of the banana. Place the mini marshmallows, chocolate chips and toffee chips inside the opening of the banana.

Cooking Directions

Wrap the banana generously with foil and set in the grill directly on the hot coals for approximately 5 minutes. To remove the banana, use metal tongs. Remove the foil and enjoy. This is a wonderful treat for kids.

Tips:

Try this recipe with other ingredients such as peanut butter cups, variety of M%26amp;M's and chocolate bars, nuts and raisins to spice up this old favorite treat. Also, try placing this delicious treat on vanilla ice cream.

Bonobo Banana Boat

Our first recipe was for the big apes, this one is for the little apes鈥搕he bonobos or pygmy chimpanzees. These chimps are some of the smartest of animals. Playing is as important to them as it is to you!

Ingredients

Small bananas

Mini chocolate chips

Creamy peanut butter

Crackers, your favorite kind!

Peel the bananas and slice crosswise into bite-sized circles. Spread peanut butter on a cracker. A banana slice goes on top of the peanut butter. Add another layer of peanut butter and then sprinkle with mini chocolate chips. These may be small but they are mighty good! I could eat a million of them!

divvy23, Great Job!!!! You guys were tied, but that is a little bit too much of an answer! SORRY!!!!!!!!! :( Report Abuse

When I was a kid, we would dip them in chocolate then freeze them, if we wanted we'd roll the dipped bananas in crushed pecans before freezing. Any crushed nut would work, and you could use crushed pretzels, cereal or jimmies too.

Hope these help some!
This isn't really a ';recipe'; but when I was younger (and sometimes still) for a snack I used to like to cut a notch out of the top of a banana lengthwise and fill it with peanutbutter. It's almost like filling the groove of celery. It can be eaten with one had with no fork and it's not messy because of course the peanut butter doesn't drip. AND, it's really good! lol You can also do that and put raisins on top of the peanut butter, but if your kids like marshmallows, I bet it would be good with mini ones on top.
